ZZZ2.6 Nangong Yu Guide: The Final Piece of Angels of Delusion – Even Old Characters BenefitZZZ2.6 Nangong Yu Guide: The Final Piece of Angels of Delusion – Even Old Characters Benefit

1. Nangong Yu: The Missing Core of Angels of Delusion
Before Nangong Yu’s release, the Angels of Delusion faction already included Sunna (support buffer) and Aria (Anomaly DPS). However, the lineup lacked a dedicated Stun specialist capable of reliably triggering Daze and Stagger windows.
With Nangong Yu joining the roster, the faction finally forms a complete structure:
Stun + Support + DPS
This creates a fully self-contained faction composition capable of maintaining consistent control over enemy stagger phases.
Her main strengths revolve around two key mechanics.
First, she combines Daze generation and Stun control into a single kit. Nangong Yu’s charged attacks can trigger Stun, extending the enemy’s Stagger duration by 3 seconds. Whenever any teammate triggers a Stagger state, the team gains a 30% increase to Stagger vulnerability damage. Combined with her passive that converts Anomaly control into Impact, she can rapidly break enemy shields and maintain long Stagger windows — solving one of the faction’s previous weaknesses.
Second, she provides dual faction and Anomaly buffs. Nangong Yu increases the team’s Anomaly buildup efficiency and can trigger additional Disorder damage through Polar Disorder interactions. Her Ultimate also grants the entire team +50 ATK, which stacks with Sunna’s support buffs, significantly increasing the team’s overall damage ceiling.
Additionally, her Dance Value recovery mechanic while in combat ensures strong energy sustain and forgiving gameplay, making her highly consistent in longer encounters.
2. Which Older Characters Benefit From Nangong Yu?
Similar to how Sunna can support off-faction characters like Ye Shunguang by providing damage buffs and Stagger amplification, Nangong Yu’s role also extends beyond her own faction.
Her core value lies in fast shield breaking and extended Stagger windows, making her an excellent partner for characters who already deal strong damage but struggle with slow shield break speed or limited Stagger uptime.
These beneficiaries generally fall into two categories.
2.1 Angels of Delusion Members: Aria and Sunna (Direct Power Boost)
The most obvious beneficiaries are her fellow faction members.
For Aria, an Ether Anomaly DPS, damage output heavily relies on attacking during enemy Stagger phases. Nangong Yu’s ability to trigger Stagger quickly and extend its duration greatly increases Aria’s damage consistency.
She also improves Anomaly buildup speed and reduces enemy all-attribute resistance by 15%, significantly boosting Aria’s Anomaly damage and burst potential. This effectively solves Aria’s long-standing issue: she relies on Stagger windows but previously lacked reliable ways to trigger them.
In practice, Nangong Yu functions as both a dedicated Stun enabler and damage amplifier for Aria, transforming her from a “potential DPS” into a far more stable damage dealer.
For Sunna, the faction’s support unit, Nangong Yu takes over the responsibility of shield breaking and Stun setup, allowing Sunna to focus entirely on providing buffs and Ether shields. Their buffs stack together, increasing both the team’s damage output and rotation efficiency.
2.2 Off-Faction Characters: Ether and Anomaly DPS (Indirect Benefits)
Nangong Yu’s kit is not limited to faction synergy. Several older Ether DPS and Anomaly-based characters also benefit from her mechanics.
The first group includes Ether burst characters, such as Zhu Yuan. Zhu Yuan is a fast-swap Ether attacker whose burst damage relies heavily on attacking enemies during Stagger states. Nangong Yu’s ability to control Stagger timing allows Zhu Yuan to maintain smoother damage cycles.
The second group includes Anomaly-focused agents, such as Jane and Piper, who rely on Disorder and Anomaly damage.
Jane, introduced in Version 1.1, has excellent damage potential but suffers from slow shield break speed. Nangong Yu’s extra Disorder damage and improved Anomaly buildup significantly amplify her output.
Piper, an A-rank Anomaly specialist widely used in early anomaly teams, also benefits from Nangong Yu’s extended Stagger windows. With more time to deal Assault damage, Piper becomes far more reliable in high-pressure combat scenarios.
3. Final Thoughts
As the final puzzle piece of Angels of Delusion, Nangong Yu fills three critical roles:
Shield breaking + Stagger control + faction amplification
Within the faction, she directly strengthens Aria and Sunna, completing the team’s internal synergy. Outside the faction, she enhances older Ether and Anomaly DPS characters such as Zhu Yuan, Jane, and Piper.
Much like how Sunna supports off-faction DPS characters, Nangong Yu acts as a versatile enabler capable of revitalizing multiple older agents.
For Version 2.6, she stands out as a high-value investment unit. Pulling Nangong Yu not only strengthens the Angels of Delusion lineup but also unlocks new potential for several legacy team compositions.
